Location Details: United States, Remote At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely. This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings. This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands. GoDaddy is not currently considering candidates for this role in California, Seattle, or NYC. Join our team At GoDaddy, we are searching for an experienced, business-oriented attorney to join our employment team. As Corporate Counsel – Employment, you will assist with and handle employment matters and projects, assist the Litigation team with employment litigation, manage outside counsel, and provide counseling and support to our People Operations and business teams. You’ll provide mentorship on employment risks tied to emerging legal changes and business decisions, while identifying and addressing potential risks to support business growth. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Sr. Counsel – Global Employment. What you’ll get to do… • Lead, participate in, and provide support on People Operations functions from pre-employment to post-employment (and everything in between), including, but not limited to, internal investigations, employee relations, recruiting, training, performance management, discipline and adverse employment actions, payroll, benefits, employee leaves and requests for accommodations, and immigration issues • Prepare EEOC and other agency responses • Negotiate, draft, and implement policies, procedures, agreements, and written guidelines used by the Company regarding employment practices • Assist in designing and implementing training for managers and employees regarding employment practices, policies, benefits, and procedures • Conduct or advise on internal investigations, investigation reporting, and analyzing trends • You will provide preventive, proactive legal advice on global labor and employment law, including wrongful termination, discrimination, disability accommodations, leaves of absence, compensation & benefits and compliance with local laws and ordinances • You will manage and/or support various complex and sensitive projects as assigned, including pay and policy reviews, and organizational changes • Other duties as assigned Your experience should include… • J.D. from an accredited law school and membership in good standing in at least one state bar. A license in Arizona, California, Texas, or Washington would be a positive addition • 7+ years of legal experience advising or litigating in employment law is required • Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws • Clear verbal and written communication skills are required: you must be comfortable explaining legal principles to various individuals in the business, and the implications for employment practices and procedures • Highly developed business insight to understand our business and anticipate the nature and magnitude of issues that could arise in various settings. Must be able to see the big picture and effectively prioritize projects based on level of risk to the organization • Experience with using AI to work more efficiently, preferred (eagerness and openness to using AI required) You might also have… • Proficient in managing tasks efficiently and effectively • Comfortable working solo in a fast-paced setting, you analyze and convey risk aligned with goals • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with an ability to meet tight deadlines on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Apply tot his job
