Copywriter for Web Content - Contract to Hire

We are looking for an experienced, self-directed copywriter who can produce high-quality content efficiently and consistently. This includes updating client website copy as well as writing articles that will be placed on high-authority industry sites. You should be comfortable working with minimal oversight, turning loose briefs into polished final drafts, and managing multiple pieces at once. Understanding how AI evaluates and ranks content is a big advantage. We are not looking for someone who relies entirely on AI tools. You should know how to use them to speed up your workflow, but also be fully capable of writing everything manually for important pieces. What you’ll write: - Website copy updates (product pages, service pages, company descriptions, FAQs, resource pages) - High-quality articles to be placed on authoritative sites - Supporting content for brand positioning, clarity and messaging - Clear, factual, reader-friendly copy across different industries What we provide: - Content briefs - Client context - Examples/past work - Style and brand guidelines - Strategic direction What you bring: - Strong writing skills - Experience writing for websites or blogs - Ability to produce high-quality work quickly - Comfortable with research and fact-checking - Ability to adapt tone to match client needs - Understanding of how AI evaluates and summarizes content (a plus) - Experience writing SEO-informed or AI-optimized content (a plus) - Reliable, responsive communication - Able to work independently without constant direction Nice to have: - Experience writing for digital agencies - Experience writing in financial, tech, healthcare or other regulated industries - Familiarity with AI search tools (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, etc.) Important: We are not looking for “AI-written content.” We are looking for a professional writer who can leverage AI tools intelligently when appropriate but who can produce strong manual copy when needed.
