Cloud Engineer REMOTE
Job Title: Cloud Engineer / Server Admin (REMOTE ONLY) Location: REMOTE (Must pick up equipment in person) Duration: 05 months Position Description This is a hybrid role with 80% of responsibilities focused on Cloud Engineering and 20% on Server Administration. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable technology solutions using AWS cloud technologies, as well as providing end-user support and system administration within a mixed Windows Server environment (Server 2016, 2019, 2022). You will work hands-on with AWS cloud platform technologies, automate cloud infrastructure, and implement security best practices while applying DevOps methodologies to optimize development and deployment processes. Key Responsibilities • Cloud Engineering: Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native solutions on AWS, using services such as AWS Lambda, AWS DynamoDB, and AWS API Gateway. • Server Administration: Provide end-user support, system administration, and problem resolution within a Windows Server environment (Server 2016, 2019, 2022). • Full-Stack Development: Build front-end applications using React, Node.js, and TypeScript, and implement serverless back-end APIs with AWS Lambda. • Cloud Infrastructure: Implement cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, security groups) and adopt cloud security best practices (IAM). • Automation: Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation, AWS SAM, and Terraform to automate cloud infrastructure management. • Monitoring and Logging: Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting using AWS CloudWatch and CloudTrail. • CI/CD Pipeline Optimization: Optimize deployment pipelines using AWS CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline. • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with senior team members and business owners to deliver robust cloud-based solutions and ensure security compliance and operational stability. • Process Improvement: Contribute to process improvement and participate in R&D and technology skill enhancement programs. Required Skills & Experience • Windows Server Administration (Server 2019 & 2022): Minimum of 10 years experience. • AWS Cloud Platform: Intermediate proficiency, with 5 years of hands-on experience in designing and managing cloud-based solutions. • Full-Stack Development: Strong experience implementing React, Node.js, and TypeScript for the front-end, and AWS Lambda for serverless back-end APIs. • Scripting: Experience with scripting languages like Python, Node.js, or PowerShell (8 years of experience required). • DevOps & CI/CD: Proficient understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, with at least 5 years of experience. • Version Control: Solid experience using Git for version control. • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams. • Learning & Development: Passion for learning new technologies and staying updated on industry trends. Preferred Qualifications • Industry Certifications: • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer (Associate level). • Microsoft Server Engineer certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE). • Experience: • Experience with on-prem, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure. • Ability to design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure solutions. #CB #DICE Apply tot his job
