About the position The Clinical Pharmacist position at Cigna Healthcare is a hybrid role focused on clinical support and development. The pharmacist will be responsible for evaluating and managing drug utilization reviews, compound management, and assisting in the development of formulary strategies. This role aims to enhance clinical affordability and improve health outcomes through strategic evaluation of current programs and collaboration with various stakeholders. Responsibilities • Review current utilization management strategies to ensure strategies promote affordability and customer experience • Organize and coordinate with a team of matrix partners and subject matter experts to assess opportunities to create non-condition based clinical programs • Examine egregious medications/products and coordinate with clinical program directors to provide appropriate clinical recommendations to minimize client and customer cost • Examine and oversee current compounding management • Provide clinical subject matter expertise to the release and placement of new medications • Provide support to the condition based program managers to enhance clinical affordability and total health outcomes • Evaluate drug utilization review programs to improve clinical outcomes • Coordinate with stakeholders to respond to RFP inquiries • Review state and federal mandates to assess for business impact • Review drug lists on a periodic basis that align with product offerings to ensure clinical intent is met • Provide education and training for clinical team (Pharmacy Service Center, Cigna Home Delivery Pharmacy, Medical Management) to communicate clinical strategy and actions and assure consistent execution of class strategy • Other duties as assigned Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred • Licensed Pharmacist required • Experience developing end to end Pharmacy Clinical Programs required • 2+ years experience working in a managed care, health plan, Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) organization, or formulary management required • Solid understanding of evidence-based medicine, interpreting clinical literature, and standards of care required • Results driven with proven communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills working in a cross-functional and matrixed environment required Benefits • Medical insurance • Vision insurance • Dental insurance • Well-being and behavioral health programs • 401(k) with company match • Company paid life insurance • Tuition reimbursement • Minimum of 18 days of paid time off per year • Paid holidays Apply tot his job
