Climate Adaptation Support Activity Research Intern - US-based Remote - Tetra Tech - Arlington, VA - Burlington, VT - work from home job Company: Tetra Tech Job description : The USAID-funded Climate Adaptation Support Activity (CASA), implemented by Tetra Tech International Development, is currently accepting expressions of interest for a research intern. This position is preferably based in Arlington, Virginia or Burlington, Vermont, with consideration of remote work from other US-based locations. The position will be part-time, paid, and fully remote. Interns are expected to work about 10 hours a week for a term of six months. This intern will support a range of research tasks to inform the development of materials to support USAID, its missions and operating units, and various partners, as they advance both incremental and transformational change. Interns will support and engage in literature reviews; data analysis; knowledge synthesis and management; tasks related to monitoring and evaluation of project outputs; draft documents and reports; or other similar tasks. Responsibilities: Interns will support the work of the Climate Adaptation Support Activity as it creates actionable information; facilitates new approaches; and contributes to capacity development and/or convenings. Tasks may include literature reviews; data analysis; knowledge synthesis and management; tasks related to monitoring and evaluation of project outputs; the coordination of partnerships, meetings, and convenings; the drafting of documents and reports; and other similar tasks. Qualifications: *A completed or in progress undergraduate degree in climate science, climate change, international development, humanitarian studies, sociology, economics, international relations, public administration, public health, disaster risk, or another related field. *Strong critical thinking skills; ability to analyze and synthesize large amounts of information. *Familiarity, strong interest, and/or desire to pursue a career in the fields of international development; climate change adaptation; disaster risk management; nature-based solutions; climate services; climate and conflict; gender equality and social inclusion; co-production of knowledge; and community engagement. *Strong collaborator; effective communicator, particularly in writing. *Initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work independently.
