Work with fellow AWS and Azure Architects and Engineers to form the best minds in cloud solutions and give innovative solutions to our clients. This job allows for a remote worker! Your future duties and responsibilities: • Architect, design, and implement cloud-based and cloud-native solutions for development, test DR (Disaster Recovery) and production workloads while factoring in compliance, security, cost and industry best practices. • Analyze requirements and create end to end solutions and designs for public cloud infrastructure and platform services • Become subject matter experts and evangelize the latest technologies and tools to provide better efficiency and solution to other teams. • Build and configure build plans, code pipelines and create automated solutions that can be re-used • Collaborate with client's application and infrastructure teams to gather functional and non-functional requirements for a specific project and provide solution addresses those requirements • Create detailed technical drawing of cloud-based solutions and reference architectures • Design and implement secure solutions and architectures for cloud, multiple cloud and hybrid to support clients, delivery teams, and Managed Service Provider (MSP)/Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) practices. • Develop detailed deployment specifications for cloud resources, management platforms and operational tools • Document all configuration, management and optimization changes to the cloud environment • Ensure cloud engineered solutions conform to industry best practice cloud patterns, reference architectures, principles and methodologies • Implementing cloud governance, build, deployment and monitoring standards for the clients • Improve infrastructure operations through better use of monitoring, cloud services, automation and scripting • Good knowledge of DevOps tooling and principles, including infrastructure as code and continuous integration, release and deployment patterns and practices • Lead implementation of cloud solutions with cloud engineer, networking and system operations teams for clients and project teams. • Mentor and coach junior members in cloud, architecture and technical topics • Support clients in AWS deployments, migrations, operations and maintenance activities. • Work on optimizing cost for AWS accounts. Create cost saving recommendations, updated architecture design patterns and solutions to save clients and projects money on their AWS bill. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: • 3-5 years of experience with AWS Cloud • Ability to effectively create solutions, documentation, and diagrams based off client requirements then communicate to technical and non-technical members for delivery and execution of the solution. • AWS Certifications - AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate. AWS Certified Solution Architect - Professional certification preferred. • Communication skills to work with your team, managers, business units and stakeholders. • Embrace and focus on emerging technology and evangelize to the technical teams and projects with regular presentations that include strategy, new technologies, solutions, best practices and demos. • Experience deploying and maintaining solutions built on AWS IaaS (Infrastructure as a service), PaaS (Platform as a service), and SaaS (Software as a service) offerings • Knowledge of AWS Security and Management Services (Certificate Manager, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Config, GuardDuty, KMS, IAM, Security Hub, Secrets Manager) • Knowledge of Git for source code version control and orchestration of CI/CD pipelines. • Good working knowledge of using Infrastructure as Code (AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Pulumi, Terraform) to design and deploy resources • Must be comfortable creating and presenting technical topics. • Needs to have the ability to develop and contribute while working seamlessly in a distributed team via collaboration tools • Must own ability to learn fast, adapt to new technology and keep current with industry certifications • Understanding of Agile and DevOps methods and mindset • Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to incorporate security, hardening and best practices for delivery of secure software Desirable: • Additional AWS (Certified Developer - Associate, AWS Certified SysOp Administrator - Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional or AWS Specialty certifications) and Security Certifications (AWS Certified Security - Specialty, CISSP, CEH, GIAC or security+) • Bachelor level technical degree or equivalent experience; Computer Science or Engineering background preferred • Developing Serverless applications leveraging AWS services (DynamoDB, Event Bridge, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS) • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, including automation and standard deployment models (canary, blue/green, etc.). • Experience in supporting container-based applications, microservices patterns and API`s in AWS (Docker, AWS ECS, AWS ECR, AWS Fargate, AWS EKS, Kubernetes) • Knowledge of at least one programming language (C#, Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Ruby, etc.) or shell scripting language (POSIX shell/Bash, PowerShell, etc.) • Knowledge of cloud networking patterns and services, such as load balancing, overlay networking, VPN and multi-datacenter networking • Knowledge with Configuration as Code tools/services (Puppet, Ansible or AWS SSM) for orchestration of EC2 OS level configuration and compliance • Knowledge of at least one of federal compliance standards (CMMC, DoD SRG, DoD STIGs, FedRAMP and NIST) is preferred. • Understanding and desire to work with AI (Artificial Intelligence), ML (Machine Learning) and Big Data services and solutions.
