Career coach to help me find a digital nomad-friendly career

Remote Full-time
Hi, I’m looking for a digital nomad-friendly career that fits my personal career criteria (which you can see below). • ** I’d like to do a video call with you and see if you know any great DM-friendly career options for me or if you think I should reconsider any of the options I’ve already found because they might actually be great ones for me. *** I’ve already found some options through online research. My top option, Accounting, is the only one that seems like a great option considering my criteria. However, I want to make sure I don’t miss any other great options. • ** Here’s some background: I tried content/copy writing for last 10 years (with limited success) but finally gave up. It’s an amazing digital nomad career option but it’s just not for me, mostly due to the never-ending pressure to create novel content. Plus, with AI, it's even harder to break into the field. I also realized I’m much better at doing a series of clear, concrete, already-known tasks well instead of constantly creating new and creative things. Having too many choices with unclear criteria for success gives me anxiety. • ** Methods I’ve already used to find new job/career options: 1. Taking career/personality quizzes and considering the career options they suggest 2. Googling "digital nomad jobs/careers" (+ "reddit"), "careers for people who love researching/optimizing", "careers for people who have ADHD" (+ "reddit"), and “seasonal jobs/careers” (+ “reddit”) 3. Giving my criteria to ChatGPT • ** My criteria for a job/career: (ordered roughly from most to least important) [location freedom] 1. I can work anywhere globally within 5 years of starting, but ideally within 1 year . (i.e. digital nomad) [income] 2. I can make $30,000/year within 1 year 3. I can make $100,000/year within 10 years, but ideally within 5 years 4. There are reliable ways to turn my career into a business (making $500,000+/year) that doesn’t rely on me doing the core work (instead, I’d just run the business itself) . (e.g. artists, writers, architects, etc can create agencies and sell their services, grow the agencies, and eventually hire other artists, writers, architects, etc to do the main work and just run the business and take in profit) [market outlook] 6. The market for workers in the career is growing, not shrinking 5. AI isn’t likely to severely shrink the industry anytime soon [fit for how I like to work] 7. The work relies more on following laid-out processes instead of constantly creating novel, creative things . (e.g. making drinks as a bartender vs songwriting) 8. There is *some* novelty with my day to day work . (i.e. I’m not doing the exact same thing every day) 9. Building technical expertise and knowledge in my craft is monetarily rewarded 10. Analyzing and problem solving are important parts of the job 14. I can work in a project-style way . (i.e. discrete chunks of time – e.g. 2 weeks to 12 months – as opposed to continuous, year-round work) [time freedom] 11. I can work freelance within 5 years, but ideally 1 year 13. I can do my core work anytime I want for the most part – as long as I meet deadlines . I.e. I don’t have to be available during “business hours” (typically 9am-5pm) . I’m OK with some leeway here. For example, if I have to schedule a few client meetings during business hours. 15. [optional] The work is seasonal . (i.e. I only have to work part of the year and can do whatever I want the rest of year) [initial training] 12. School/training to get into the field takes no more than 2 years, but ideally 1 year . NOTE: There may be options to complete a Bachelor’s degree in a year or less at some self-paced, accredited universities . NOTE: I already have a 2-year Associate in Business degree • ** My personality and how I like to work: I enjoy... 1. learning and researching things. 2. when there’s a process clearly laid out and if I just follow the steps meticulously, I’ll succeed (e.g. accounting, mechanic work, bartending/mixology, putting together LEGOs with instructions) 3. optimizing processes 4. hyperfocusing on a task and spending a lot of time on it and being able to perfect it 5. problem-solving and being analytical 6. working in a project-ized way (in discrete time-bound units with defined end-points as opposed to continuously without clear start and end-points) 7. work that isn’t too monotonous, there’s regular variation 8. being able to do things at a high level of skill/ability I don’t enjoy... 9. when the criteria for success is vague 10. when I have to create novel output that requires creativity as opposed to clearly laid-out steps (e.g. songwriting, art, creative writing) • ** Job/career options I’ve already found and considered: (ordered roughly from most to least attractive) . Accounting & financial planning [my only option that fits all my most important criteria] . UX/UI designer . Software developer . Continuous improvement management/process engineer . Management consultant . CRM configurer/salesperson . Customer service rep/customer success manager . Sales (high tech/medical equipment/etc) . Market research . Grant writer . Digital marketing . Project/product manager . Technical writer . Data science . Supply chain management/logistics . Cyber security . proofreader/editor . Insurance (underwriter/appraiser/adjuster/broker) . Recruiter . Digital (/3d) artist . Law . Therapist/counselor Apply tot his job
