Dunlop Sports Americas is seeking a Buyer to work closely with the Forecast & Logistics Manager. This role involves managing freight bills, reviewing data systems, placing purchase orders, and ensuring inventory levels and on-time shipments are maintained. Responsibilities Analyze inventory positions, forecasts and incoming purchase orders to create proposed purchase orders. Review with Business Planning teams ahead of PO creation Procurement of required materials from approved suppliers as required by the forecast plan. Establish strategies to improve supply chain and solve shortage issues to meet the company’s overall growth plan Expedite purchase orders as necessary. Identify actual and potential delivery problems and take proactive steps to inform appropriate personnel. Review Open PO details. Work with freight forwarders to confirm Estimated Arrival Date/Time and update the system with the most recent information Analyze freight choice & delivery locations to meet the needs of the forecasted business Create future purchasing forecasts to provide additional visibility to Global Supply Chain Establish and maintain relations with suppliers and appropriate representatives Maintain an awareness of materials and procurement concepts - Verify data accuracy (part numbers, BOMs, part costs) in MRP, report problems to appropriate parties Understand and apply MRP reports in ordering parts used in production to ensure appropriate delivery dates Implement improvement processes to reduce inventory and non-value added work Communicate with Business Planning manager(s) of any changes or delays in new product introduction release dates Ensure there are zero past due POs in Operations system Review billings from freight forwarders and US Customs for accuracy of codes and charges Investigate receiving discrepancies and seek correction or resolution from responsible party Will work with Operations team to direct preparation of claims against responsible party when there is lost or damaged merchandise Participate in the regular evaluation of service providers Provide internal delivery report Skills BA/BS degree required or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Ability to analyze system data and parameters to ensure company stocking levels and customer service levels are met Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develop alternate solutions if problems arise Ability to deliver accurate & consistent data, double checking work, and catching discrepancies Ability to work independently and collaboratively; establish priorities; make informed decisions; and manage assigned objectives Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities; exhibit objectivity and openness toward the views of others; give and welcome constructive feedback; contribute to building a positive team spirit; put success of team above own interests; support group commitments to goals and objectives; recognize accomplishments of other team members Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents Ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to present information and respond to questions in professional settings Knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Outlook and Excel; ERP/MRP Manufacturing software such as Enterprise One or similar software; Power BI database reporting or similar software Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operation Research Experience using MRP / ERP systems APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) a plus Company Overview Loving the game is what drives you to compete at your best.
