As a Business Analyst for Japan Amazon Store Customer Service, you'll be an integral part of this team, working closely with program managers to drive business decisions and improve customer experience. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis and Insights: Develop SQL queries to retrieve complex data, build automated reports on Excel and visualization tools, and maintain recurring metrics and reports to drive business decisions. Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct deep dives to identify business performance trends, customer pain points, and potential opportunities for reducing defects and costs while maintaining high customer experience standards. Collaboration and Project Management: Support program managers during large-scale feature, product, and business launches, and plan and execute multiple projects, collaborating cross-functionally and geographically. Dashboarding and Reporting: Create functional and effective dashboards to enable visibility into KPIs for concessions reduction and insight generation into new areas of opportunity. A Day in the Life As a Business Analyst for Japan Amazon Store Customer Service, your day will be filled with exciting challenges and opportunities. Here's a glimpse into what you can expect: Data Extraction: Bringing forward data in a clear and concise manner to drive business functions and decisions. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: 2+ years of experience in Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables). Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar quantitative discipline. Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight, Tableau, Power BI, or other BI packages. SQL experience and ability to develop complex queries. Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate complex technical problems in simple, plain stories. English level (Reading, writing, speaking); Japanese Business Level or higher (JLPT N1 or N2). Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge: Experience working with large datasets and ability to present information professionally and concisely with supporting data. Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Experience engaging with cross-functional teams for implementation of project and program requirements.
