Just meaningful work with a collaborative team that values autonomy, excellence, and mutual growth. Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Nonprofit Bookkeeper to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a well-rounded staff accountant with strong nonprofit experience, solid knowledge of accrual accounting, and a firm understanding of GAAP. You will manage full-cycle accounting across multiple client accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear financial reporting. The right candidate will be confident working independently, detail-oriented in reconciling complex accounts, and comfortable communicating financial insights. You’ll also bring at least 5 years of experience in full-service bookkeeping or staff accounting, including at least 2 years working with nonprofits. Key Responsibilities As a Bookkeeper at UltraPrecise, you will manage multiple nonprofit client accounts, including: • Managing client books using accrual-based accounting in QuickBooks Online • Processing and coding expense documentation through Dext • Managing AP workflows in Bill.com, including proper coding and approvals • Categorizing transactions through QBO bank feeds • Reconciling bank, credit card, and loan accounts • Reviewing and correcting payroll entries • Processing complex payrolls, including benefit allocations and accruals • Preparing accruals and period-end adjusting entries • Performing quality control on your own work and reviewing financial reports • Communicating clearly with management regarding client status and accounting issues • Contributing to SOPs and internal workflows as processes evolve What We’re Looking For Must-Have Qualifications • 5+ years of full-service accounting/bookkeeping experience • 2+ years with QuickBooks Online (QBO ProAdvisor certification required) • 2+ years experience working in a multi-client environment (cpa or bookkeeping firm) • Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual accounting (must know how to handle accruals, prepaids, deferrals—not just say you do) • Experience supporting nonprofits, including audit prep and fund accounting • Confident communicator able to manage client relationships directly • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required) • U.S. residency and ability to work EST hours Bonus Experience • Tools: Dext, Keeper, Karbon, Notion, Bill.com, LastPass • Cleanup projects and QBO setup What We Offer • Long-term, secure W2 employment • 100% remote work within 8 am–6 pm EST • Supportive team culture with room to grow into controller or CFO-level work • High-impact work with mission-driven clients who value excellence How to Apply If you’re passionate about precision, thrive in accrual-based accounting, and enjoy helping nonprofits stay audit-ready, we’d love to meet you.
