Bid & Opportunity Manager (Operations Manager Track | High-Autonomy, Performance-Based)
We’re a 20-year plumbing and underground utilities company entering a new phase of growth. We’re starting to pursue and win larger, more complex bids — including $1M+ projects — and we need someone strong to own the bid process end-to-end. You’ll be responsible for identifying bid opportunities, managing the process, coordinating submissions, tracking follow-ups, and keeping everything moving. You’ll have real autonomy and be trusted to manage your own timelines and communication. The owner is very hands-on in the field. This role exists to make sure opportunities don’t fall through the cracks while the work is being done on the ground. Prior experience in plumbing, utilities, or construction bidding is preferred but not necessary. What matters more is curiosity, fast learning, and transferable skills. If you ask good questions, pick things up quickly, and care deeply about follow-through, you’ll do well here. If you’re someone who: -Takes pride in being reliable -Communicates proactively -Asks questions early -Feels uncomfortable when someone has to chase you -Enjoys the challenge of winning work -Likes being trusted to run their lane -Gets excited by the idea of securing big jobs and being rewarded for it You’ll likely thrive here. This role includes a base rate plus performance-based bonuses tied directly to successful bids. If you help win work, you will share in the upside. The better you perform, the more you earn — without micromanagement. We’re looking for someone with the bandwidth and interest to build a long-term relationship. This role is designed to grow, with a clear path toward a broader operations role as responsibility and trust increase. If this feels like a bit of you — we’d love to talk. Apply tot his job
