Job Details Responsibilities As an Audit Senior, you will be responsible for: Overseeing and Conducting Financial Audits : Conduct financial audits for a diverse range of clients, including small and local government entities. Preparing and Reviewing Audit Work Papers and Reports : Ensure that audit work papers and reports are accurate, complete, and comply with applicable standards and regulations. Assisting in the Planning and Execution of Audit Engagements : Help plan and execute audit engagements, ensuring that they are conducted efficiently and effectively. Providing Technical Guidance and Support : Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, helping them develop their skills and knowledge. Building and Maintaining Client Relationships : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing them with valuable insights and advice. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Related Field : A degree in accounting or a related field is required. 2+ Years of Public Accounting Experience : You will need at least 2 years of experience in public accounting, preferably in government audit. CPA Certification : A CPA certification is a plus, but not required. Experience with Small and Local Government Audits : You will need experience working on small and local government audits, including cities, municipalities, and school districts.
