About the position This role offers the opportunity to lead audit engagements for a diverse range of technology clients, including high-growth startups and established companies preparing for investment or acquisition. You will manage multiple audit teams, provide guidance on complex accounting matters, and ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards. The position requires strong client-facing skills to build trust and foster long-term relationships while supporting client readiness for investor scrutiny. You will also contribute to professional development initiatives, train junior staff, and collaborate with leadership on risk assessments and audit strategy. This role allows for autonomy, variety, and exposure to innovative technology clients in a collaborative and supportive environment. Some travel (up to 10%) may be required. Responsibilities • Lead audit, review, and compilation engagements for technology clients, managing multiple teams and providing performance feedback • Oversee daily audit operations including staffing, planning, budgeting, risk assessment, fieldwork, and financial reporting • Partner with senior leadership on audit procedures, risk assessment, and reporting decisions • Provide guidance on complex accounting transactions, GAAP compliance, and implementation of new standards • Serve as an instructor in training programs and meetings, mentoring junior staff and promoting professional development • Participate in community, networking, and business development activities to support growth and client relationships Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA license mandatory • 5+ years of experience in public accounting, preferably with technology clients • Knowledge of revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, convertible debt, and capitalized software preferred • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to travel up to 10% to client sites • Demonstrated ability to manage teams and provide clear guidance on technical and regulatory matters Nice-to-haves • Experience with SAFE (Simple Agreements for Future Equity) is a plus Benefits • Competitive salary range of $97,000 – $145,000, depending on experience and location • Eligibility for annual discretionary bonus based on individual and firm performance • Comprehensive healthcare options including medical, dental, vision, and HSA contributions • 401(k) plan with employer matching and profit-sharing opportunities • Flexible time off, parental leave, and family care benefits • Education and certification assistance to support career growth • Voluntary benefits including critical illness, accident, hospital indemnity, legal, pet insurance, and supplemental life coverage • Remote work flexibility for eligible positions, with support for work-life integration Apply tot his job
