Key Responsibilities: • Represent clients in workers' compensation proceedings • Conduct legal research, analyze complex issues, and draft legal documents • Attend hearings and depositions • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients • Effectively manage time and follow Firm procedures • Collaborate with all levels both internal and external • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues Required Skills and Qualifications: • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school • Active membership in the California State Bar • Workers' compensation defense experience highly preferred • Ability to identify and analyze complex legal issues and devise solutions • Proactive, client-centered, and tech-savvy • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Superior organizational, multi-task, and prioritization skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Physical Requirements: • Ability to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods while working on a computer. • Sufficient dexterity to operate a keyboard and other office equipment. • Ability to observe details, read printed materials, and view computer screens. • Ability to communicate verbally in person and over the phone. • Ability to move within an office environment and operate office equipment. • Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 15 pounds as needed. • Ability to travel to court as required. Location: • Work remotely (must be residing in CA) or from one of our California offices: Agoura Hills, Oxnard, Encino, Inland Empire, Long Beach, Orange County, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco or San Jose.
