Associate Director, Strategic Sourcing (Remote)

About the position As an Associate Director, Strategic Sourcing you will ensure that all operations and commodity specific objectives are met for your commodity or strategic projects. You will manage a complex set of projects to transform the supply chain in support of performance and cost objectives. The role is responsible for developing strong relationships with suppliers, peers, and internal management and customers, which culminate in the establishment of Long-Term Procurement Agreements (LTA's) and other initiatives which contribute to company goals. Drive process improvements in the business through use of the CORE Operating System and continues improvement culture. Develop commodity and supplier strategies to better position the business to achieve the strategic financial plans. Collaborate with external organizations and customers (contracts, finance, Mod Centers, Quality, Enterprise Capacity) to create alignment, improve the processes and information flow, and proactively reduce risk. Develop robust business cases and scenarios in collaboration with peers. Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the most desired outcome. In collaboration with RTX and Pratt & Whitney, execute strategic sourcing plan aligned with the Strategic Sourcing Reviews (SSR process) and drive savings. Agility and flexibility to take on special assignments that align with the ongoing changing dynamics in supply chain and geo-political environment. Develop the partnership relationships to ensure alignment to value stream strategy Coordinate activities between suppliers and Pratt & Whitney program and technical Employees Work closely with Pratt and Whitney team to manage supplier transitions and prioritize accordingly Ensure support of Supply Management tactical issues when assistance is requested Coordinating with Finance for all cost activity in support of monthly progress reviews with Senior Executive Management. Ensure compliance with Procurement policy, procedures and standard work and strive to improve the processes. Requirements • Bachelor's degree and 12 years of related experience in Supply Chain and/or Production Planning; Or an advanced degree with 10 years of experience. • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. Nice-to-haves • Experience managing sourcing projects and delivering cost savings. • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, data analytics tools, e-sourcing platforms).
