About the position As the Associate Director HR Site Head at Amgen, you will play a crucial role in leading the HR strategy for the Amgen Ohio site, which is a state-of-the-art assembly and packaging facility. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing the site's talent strategy, advising the leadership team on HR matters, and fostering a strong culture of engagement and innovation amidst dynamic growth. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the site meets its workforce needs while aligning with Amgen's overall mission to serve patients. Responsibilities • Serve as a member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT) and Manufacturing HR Senior Leadership Team, contributing to best practice sharing across the network. • Act as a trusted strategic advisor and coach to the SLT in areas of HR Strategy, Culture / Engagement, Leadership, Talent Management, Rewards, and Change Management. • Partner with site leadership to implement strategies that drive innovation, growth, employee engagement, and diversity, inclusion, and belonging. • Develop a robust talent base at the site including workforce planning, Talent Acquisition strategies, and Employee Value Proposition. • Implement innovative strategies to foster engagement and a strong people-centered culture amid dynamic growth. • Create partnerships with local trade schools, universities, and government entities focusing on workforce development initiatives. • Oversee the implementation of HR processes such as Onboarding, Performance Evaluation, and Talent Management. • Represent Amgen at key local external activities to attract top talent and enhance the company's reputation. • Oversee the development and delivery of the Amgen Apprenticeship program in support of workforce planning challenges. • Develop and drive initiatives that meet local needs while aligning with global strategies. Requirements • Doctorate degree and 3 years of Human Resources experience • Master's degree and 7 years of Human Resources experience • Bachelor's degree and 9 years of Human Resources experience • Associate's degree and 12 years of Human Resources experience • High school diploma / GED and 14 years of Human Resources experience • Minimum of 3 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, or programs. Nice-to-haves • 10+ years of progressively complex / strategic experience in Human Resources for a large global or multinational organization. • Strategic HR business partner experience or other client-facing experience. • Experience leading complex projects / initiatives and/or teams. • Strong analytical skills and understanding of how to use data to inform decisions. • Ability to balance a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and competing demands. • Sound knowledge of applicable employment laws, regulations, and business practices related to Human Resources.
