Associate, Audience Engagement

Human Rights Watch (HRW) is seeking an Associate to support the Audience Engagement division in the Media Department. The role focuses on providing administrative support and contributing to creative services and audience engagement efforts. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Director of the Division and Division staff, including scheduling, managing calendars, assisting with travel arrangements, and monitoring tasks and timelines Recording and processing divisional invoices, including supporting consultant and vendor coordination Taking meeting notes and creating action items or next steps Creating and maintaining filing and archiving systems Supporting the divisional projects by attending and supporting relevant meetings, conducting desk research, assisting with translations, and other related duties Supporting on project management for divisional activities and select projects in coordination with colleagues across the organization Drafting documents, memos, and workback plans as well as responding to requests for information Assisting with events such as retreats, staff meetings, and special events Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and coordination of interns; and Carrying out other duties as required Skills A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience or training in a related field, is required 1 year of relevant work experience is required Excellent oral and written communication skills in English is required Prior office or administration experience and proficiency in computer programs including MS Office applications, especially Excel, are required Self-motivation and the ability to prioritize and work independently as well as function as a member of a team with staff in multiple global locations are required Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail are required The ability to work well under pressure and to manage multiple priorities, working effectively toward deadlines is required Experience in project management is required Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences, including external partners are required Applicants for this position must possess valid US work authorization Experience in administrative support, finance, operations and/or project management is highly desired Experience with Salesforce or other databases is highly desired Experience using project management software like Asana, Monday.com or Trello is preferred Strong interest in or experience with human rights issues is desirable Benefits Comprehensive employer-paid benefits Medical Dental Vision Disability and life insurance An outstanding retirement savings plan Twenty (20) days of vacation per year Company Overview Human Rights Watch is a non-profit and non-governmental human rights organization.
