Associate Actuary, US Reporting & Analysis

The Associate Actuary will support timely and accurate US regulatory reporting and financial audits, focusing on US Statutory, US GAAP, and US Tax reporting while collaborating with actuarial and finance teams. Responsibilities Support the timely and accurate preparation for all SCOR US Life actuarial reporting and analysis for US Statutory, US GAAP, and US Tax Assist in reviewing and analyzing results to identify key drivers, trends and insights for management and stakeholder reporting Provide support for the US STAT and US GAAP portion of the annual financial audits with our external auditors and quinquennial audits with our State regulators Contribute to the preparation of the annual Appointed Actuary filings, including Actuarial Opinions and Certifications for asset adequacy analysis, Principle-Based Reserve analysis, X factor analysis and preferred mortality analysis Perform detailed reconciliations and validations to ensure controls, documentation and audit trails are properly maintained across valuation processes Provide support on other regulatory reserve and collateral reporting topics related to US driven business initiatives such as legal entity optimization and capital & liquidity emergence Participate in projects and initiatives for new developments in reserving issues, methods, and regulations Participate in the development and implementation of company-wide strategic initiatives and special assignments as required Skills Associateship of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation or equivalent Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related field with demonstrated record of academic excellence Proven experience with financial valuation, modeling, cash flow analysis in the insurance or reinsurance industry Knowledge of US Statutory and US GAAP reporting and analysis within the industry Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative team member in an intellectually vibrant and commercially sophisticated environment Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, maintaining an agile mindset Strong organizational & planning skills with ability to meet multiple competing deliverables and manage projects Ability to build & maintain relationships with a diverse group of colleagues throughout the SCOR Group Demonstrated ability to understand complex models and perform valuation, modeling, and analysis to deliver required results Demonstrated ability to identify and implement departmental processes and controls and ensure appropriately documented Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and relationship building Proficient in actuarial software, database, and reporting tools Benefits Medical, vision, and dental coverage 401(k) Plan with a competitive match Company-funded Defined Contribution Retirement Program Life and AD&D insurance Long- and Short-Term Disability Flexible Parental Leave Unlimited Sick Days Volunteer Time Summer Fridays Learning & Development Resources Personal Wellness Tools and Rewards Competitively priced gym memberships from a large nationwide network of gym brands and local fitness studios And More!
