Application Training & Support Assistant
Arnold & Porter is seeking an Application Training & Support Assistant to join their Information Technology Department. This role involves providing administrative, training, and customer support for technology training initiatives and end-user support within the firm. Responsibilities Maintain, update, and publish the monthly IT training calendar and course descriptions Coordinate and support virtual and in-person training sessions, including webinar setup, Zoom link management, firm-wide communications, room preparation, session monitoring, and participant support Distribute onboarding and instructional communications to new hires regarding training resources Manage shared IT mailboxes (Training, IT Information, Pilot Feedback) to ensure timely responses and resolution of support requests Maintain the IT On-Call Escalation Schedule Track and manage training manuals, handouts, and classroom materials as needed Distribute post-training evaluations and collect feedback Coordinate repairs and maintenance of training room equipment Schedule training room usage for other firm departments Assist in the creation and formatting of training materials using firm-approved templates and standards Support Application Training & Support Specialists in developing manuals, quick reference guides, and online documentation for firm systems and applications Participate in a train-the-trainer program by observing and supporting instructor-led sessions Progressively co-facilitate and independently deliver training classes as proficiency develops Provide floor support during system rollouts, upgrades, and major technology changes Deliver high-quality end-user support by promptly claiming and resolving Help Desk tickets Skills Minimum of one year of experience in a training, technology, or legal environment Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to present information clearly to groups of varying sizes and audiences Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail Demonstrated discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and client service skills Flexibility to work additional hours as needed Prior law firm experience preferred Benefits The firm may provide a discretionary bonus annually.
