Appfolio Experience Property Manager

Overview We are seeking experienced Virtual Property Managers to support and manage our growing U.S. leasing and property management portfolio. This role is focused on day-to-day leasing operations, resident coordination, and compliance-related communications, with a particular emphasis on Section 8 / Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) tenants and coordination with U.S. housing agencies. This is a long-term contract opportunity for reliable, detail-oriented professionals who can operate independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Manage leasing operations using AppFolio (required) Coordinate with U.S. housing authorities, agencies, and case workers, including Section 8 / HCV programs Process applications, certifications, recertifications, and compliance documentation Communicate professionally with tenants, inspectors, and government representatives Track lease status, rent payments, renewals, and tenant communications Assist with inspection scheduling, deficiency follow-ups, and documentation Maintain accurate digital records and notes within AppFolio Support internal property management and asset management teams Handle inbound and outbound communications (email, portals, limited calls as needed) Required Qualifications Demonstrated experience using AppFolio (non-negotiable) Prior experience in U.S. property management or leasing Direct experience working with: Section 8 / Housing Choice Voucher tenants Housing authorities, case workers, or government agencies Strong understanding of compliance-driven leasing environments Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple properties and priorities simultaneously Reliable internet connection and ability to work U.S. business hours Preferred Qualifications Spanish language proficiency (strong preference) Experience with affordable housing, multifamily, or mixed-income portfolios Familiarity with inspections, rent reasonableness, and subsidy workflows Prior remote or virtual property management experience Contract Details Long-term engagement Approximately 30–40 hours per week Consistent weekly workload Opportunity for expanded responsibilities over time Competitive hourly compensation based on experience Apply tot his job
