Canadian Tire Corporation is one of Canada’s most admired companies, and they are seeking an Analyst, Automotive Data to work with the Automotive Category Business Management team. The role involves ensuring the integrity of catalogue data from vendors and resolving discrepancies, while also conducting analyses and maintaining vendor relationships. Responsibilities Perform gap analyses between competitors’ application fitment catalogues on measures such as content and Canadian vehicle coverage Analyze current and former vendors’ catalogue content to identify coverage differences and collaborate with vendors to reconcile these differences and omissions Update the internal database to reflect reconciled outcomes Ensure newly introduced lines and corporate SKUs are appropriately catalogued in Epicor Assign new products to appropriate categories and add them to database with new product numbers Define, develop, and manage line‑appropriate catalogue coverage targets and requirements Maintain vendor relationships and contact vendors when errors, omissions, performance, or configuration issues occur Research, investigate, and resolve inquiries from CBM team members, Canadian Tire Retail, and PartSource store personnel related to catalogue performance and configuration Analyze and validate vendor catalogue content and timeliness within Epicor to ensure alignment with business strategies and objectives Ensure product attribute content is complete and correct within Epicor; work with CBM teams and vendors to address any gaps or omissions Work with CBM teams to define and maintain effective related‑parts groupings within Epicor Troubleshoot and resolve system issues (errors, omissions, performance, configuration) across Epicor, WHI, and related web applications; liaise with vendors and internal teams as needed Produce reporting and analyses to measure catalogue health, coverage, and performance Skills Post‑secondary education with an emphasis on Data Analytics or Data Science or related discipline Proficient in SQL, Python or R, MS Access, and Excel Experience extracting and querying data‑warehouse information Proven experience in data analysis, visualization, and reporting Ability to conduct research using various mediums (internet, catalogues, and software) Automotive aftermarket industry and parts knowledge Familiarity with vendor catalogue structures (Epicor/WHI) Understanding of Auto Care Association (ACA) catalogue standards (ACES) Understanding of category‑merchandising principles, processes, and procedures Strong time-management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and multi‑task Team player with excellent collaboration, communication, and conflict-resolution skills Experience with Power BI, Azure Synapse, or Databricks is considered an asset Knowledge of Canadian Tire Retail and/or PartSource store operations is considered an asset Benefits Comprehensive benefits and retirement programs Performance incentives, Continuing Education Programs Other perks to support your well-being Career growth opportunities and product discounts Mental health benefits in the amount of $5,000 per year for benefits-eligible employees and their families, including total well-being, and mental health tools and resources for all employees Company Overview Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited (“CTC”) is one of Canada’s most admired and trusted companies.
