Alumni Donor Acquisition Specialist

Michigan Giving is seeking an Annual Giving Alumni Donor Acquisition Specialist to support the fundraising community by re-engaging alumni with the university. The role focuses on identifying giving opportunities for non-donor alumni and developing strategies to encourage their support through various solicitation methods. Responsibilities Create, plan, and implement programming that identifies alumni non donors who have not made a gift to Michigan in at least the past six years Solicit the non donors through mail, email, and digital channels for support to areas they may have an affinity for, and steward them in the hopes they become repeat donors Help develop plans for donor engagement, pipeline development and solicitation improvement by working with teams and the community to help partners best leverage existing programming to increase new donor counts Provide annual giving expertise, including regular, value-added analysis and program review Develop reporting tools and presentations to identify acquisition opportunities, advocate for acquisition investment, and highlight the importance of acquiring new donors to the fundraising community Skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience One or more years of work experience in a professional environment with increasing levels of personal responsibility Working knowledge of database software Experience in a team environment Benefits Eligible for UM benefits Company Overview At the University of Michigan, philanthropy drives progress.
