Job Overview We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Admissions Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the admissions process for our facility, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for prospective patients. This position requires strong communication skills, proficiency in various office software, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. This position will be a remote position. Duties • Guide individuals through the admissions process, providing information and support • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries via phone, email, text and fax. • Conduct pre-assessments to gather essential information for the intake process • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess the appropriateness of potential admissions • Verify insurance coverage and communicate financial obligations to clients and their families • Coordinate and schedule admissions, collaborating with other departments regarding transportation and intake appointments. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of admissions data and documentation in both the CRM and EMR • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure a cohesive and person-centered approach • Communicate effectively with external referral sources and healthcare providers • Provide timely updates to individuals and their families regarding the admissions process Requirements • Proven experience in admissions or related field, preferably in a healthcare setting. • Familiarity with CRM and electronic health record systems • Familiarity with insurance verification processes • Some sales experience • Experience working remotely and in a call center environment • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail • Ability to navigate insurance benefits and financial conversations comfortably with clients and families • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality. • Proficient in using computers and various software applications for administrative tasks. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
