Accountant II - Regulatory Reporting

The Accountant II will be a member of the Regulatory Reporting team, responsible for preparing and analyzing regulatory reports to ensure accurate and timely submissions while collaborating with various business units. Responsibilities Responsible for preparing and analyzing assigned regulatory reports and schedules including performing analytical procedures to ensure reports are accurate and in compliance with required regulations Work with multiple business lines to gain an understanding of the business activities and reporting processes Partner with business line personnel to educate them on regulatory reporting requirements and provide guidance on implementation of any new or revised requirements Coordinate with SEC reporting team and other internal reporting teams to ensure consistency and accuracy Collaborate with business units and other regulatory reporting team members to improve processes and efficiencies Review, update, and maintain procedures and process documentation for assigned schedules Work with internal and external auditors and other compliance functions, as directed Participate in special projects as necessary Skills Bachelor's degree required (Accounting major preferred) 1+ years previous work experience in Accounting or related field Exhibit a strong work ethic and high degree of self-motivation Must possess good communication skills Must possess strong time management skills and ability to effectively prioritize tasks and work within deadlines Ability to organize data, perform independent analysis, and provide explanations/conclusions to management Ability to work with limited supervision while applying previous experience to execute moderately complex tasks Ability to contribute meaningfully to projects Comfortable interacting with other personnel in group or support staff from other departments; may interact with other internal and external personnel (i.e., external auditors, regulators) on specific projects or routine matters, usually under supervision Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) experience required CPA (or equivalent) obtained or in pursuit preferred Workday General Ledger experience preferred MS Office Suite experience, preferred Benefits Time Away: Program starts at 20 paid time off days in addition to 11 paid holidays and 8 hours of volunteer time off yearly (time off days are prorated based on start date and program varies based on full or part-time status and management level).
