The Accountant will support day-to-day accounting tasks, engage with clients and brokers, and contribute to a positive team culture while ensuring deadlines and service level targets are met. Responsibilities Daily contact with our external clients, dealership partners and internal brokers, covering a variety of Accounts Receivables and Payables tasks Troubleshooting gaps in current processes and implementing improvements with an eliminate, simplify, standardize, and automate mindset Monthly General Ledger reconciliations Cross-train and act as backup on key Accounting tasks Contributing to a positive team culture and supporting your coworkers Other jobs assigned by your manager Skills Minimum 1 year experience in an Accounting related role You enjoy being part of a team with a mix of face-to-face and virtual interaction Ability to meet firm deadlines, under potential time pressure Building and maintaining relationships comes natural to you Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing work priorities You have strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience having difficult conversations Take initiative to identify and address issues or opportunities, solve problems and address conflict Proven ability to work efficiently in Microsoft Excel with Pivot Tables and other formulas (VLOOKUP, SUMIF) Company Overview "Effective November 1, Waypoint Insurance is now operating under the name Navacord Insurance Services British Columbia Inc.
